Graded Appliance Hub is an independent publisher. To keep the directory free for shoppers, we use three revenue streams:

  1. 1. Affiliate commissions

    When you click a link marked “Buy at [retailer]” or similar and complete a purchase, the retailer may pay us a small commission — typically 1% to 5% of the order value. This is paid out of the retailer's marketing budget; the price you pay is identical whether you arrive through our link or directly. Affiliate links use the rel="sponsored" attribute as required by Google and the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA).

  2. 2. Featured listings

    Retailers can pay to appear in a “Featured” slot at the top of their relevant city or category page. These slots are always visually distinguished from organic results and labelled “Featured” or “Sponsored.” Featured status does not change the retailer's review score, verification status, or ability to receive negative reviews.

  3. 3. Repair lead referrals

    When you submit a repair enquiry, we may forward it to a participating Gas Safe / qualified engineer in your area and charge them a flat per-lead fee. This fee is paid by the engineer, not by you.

What we don't do

  • We don't accept payment to remove negative reviews.
  • We don't accept payment to delist competitors of paying advertisers.
  • We don't write “sponsored content” disguised as editorial. Anything paid is labelled as such.
  • We don't sell your contact details to third parties. Repair enquiries are forwarded only to the specific engineer(s) you're matched with.

Our regulators

We follow the CAP Code (rules administered by the Advertising Standards Authority) and the CMA's guidance on online reviews and endorsements (CMA135).
